Thanks to Colorado Central Magazine for putting my pastel painting on the cover this month!

This is the mock-up for the September issue. Mike Rosso, editor of Colorado Central, asked to use "September, Nathrop", to complement the article on vintage campers, and old campgrounds here in Colorado.

I did this pastel "en plein air", painting on location in the community of Nathrop, a few miles from Salida.

I will be teaching Introduction to Pastel classes at Karen's Korner Gallery, in Mt. Pleasant. Monday-Tuesday evening, Feb 7th/8th, from 4-7pm...These will be classes tailored to those who have drawn or painted sometime in the past, and would like to explore the world of pastel.

There will be 2 classes.....the fee is 160. The class size will be small to ensure lots of individual instruction.

Pastel supplies will be available for a fee of $15 for the two classes for those who don't have supplies.
